Researchers are increasingly expected to demonstrate the societal relevance and impact of their work. Public Engagement offers powerful opportunities to connect research with society, build trust, generate mutual learning, and create pathways to impact. This workshop introduces key concepts and practical tools for designing impactful Public Engagement activities. Participants will explore how science communication can move beyond dissemination towards dialogue, collaboration, and relationship-building with societal actors. Drawing on current research and best-practice examples the workshop will help researchers identify suitable engagement approaches for their own work.
