The EDI, in partnership with the TUM Think Tank and the University of Exeter, invites researchers, practitioners, policymakers and infrastructure providers to join our workshop on Recommender Systems for Social Good (RecSys) at the TUM Think Tank in Munich on Wednesday 11th March.
Led by Dr. Silvia Milano, EDI Head of Research at TUM, discussion will focus on challenging the "accuracy-first" culture of algorithmic design. Joining her to bridge the gap between technical research and governance are key experts on the topic Prof. Dietmar Jannach and Prof. Alan Said, with an introductory session, “Rethinking Decision-making Systems for Environmental Intelligence”, presented by Prof. Sabina Leonelli, Professor of Philosophy and History of Science and Technology.
Culminating in a one hour round table discussion, the workshop presents a unique opportunity for EDI partners and affiliate community to come together and help shape this essential research going forward.
