More information about the presented projects:
Case #1: GrimFest
We completely changed our businessmodel to fit in to the new reality of the pandemic. We could no longer give the artists a guarantee, however we created a model where the involved parties were given a percentage of the tickets. The percentage was divided amongst all parties and approved by everyone involved. The amount of profit of the events were thus in correlation with how many tickets that were sold to the specific event. In this way, everyone came out with a plus on their accounts, and GrimFest could survive the pandemic.
Case #2: WATCHAPP
During the first lockdown cultural life stopped in Belgium. It left a giant hole. And Mathijs F. Scheepers, one of the co-founders of Belgian theatre company SKGN, thought, if there’s a hole, you should be able to fill it.
That’s how WATCHAPP came to life: you can secretly look into a “whatsappgroup” you’re not part of. During two or three weeks you follow, in real time, every message, picture, GIF, link and film the group members send each other. And more: every time they Facetime or Meet in real life, you can also see this via a brand-new APP.
WATCHAPP is a unique and brand-new format, which you can enjoy via a new APP. This APP is an open platform, so Mathijs will gladly tell you more about it and already invites you to be part of it!
Case #3: Cultural Export Activity by Petersburg Concert
During the DC Network Meetup Petersburg Concert, a concert organization from St. Petersburg, Russia, presents their cultural export initiative that was launched as a reaction to the changing reality.
The aim of this initiative is:
1) to get new experience and knowledge that may help develop the organization's activity amid and after the pandemic;
2) to make Petersburg Concert's approach to the cultural exports promotion abroad more systematic and qualified.
Using own experience and knowledge, Petersburg Concert plan to develop the city cultural exports together with other creative institutions and organization, to elaborate an algorithm for promotion of Russian cultural services abroad and to become a link between foreign partners and Russian organizations.
Case #4: Pitchview From a product for physical trade shows to an app for virtual presentations - The creative transformation of Pitchview.
Since their previous product, Pitchview Collect, was designed for physical trade shows, the company had to reinvent itself. Together with a client, they came up with: Pitchview Projector. This allows the marketing team to easily create interactive presentations in-house, bridging the digital divide. Pitchview Projector is an extension of the existing business model and provides a second leg for the company.
Case #5: MadeBrave - MadeBravers Can Now Work from Anywhere, Forever
Due to the pandemic, MadeBrave introduced a "work from anywhere" policy, which will apply post-pandemic too. Now, and as we ease out of lockdown, the MadeBrave office space will be there as a ‘destination’ for when people want or need it. Not as a mandatory 9-5 destination. Additionally, MadeBrave is also in the process of evolving the current physical space to make for a more comfortable, COVID-friendly environment - for example, they are introducing new physical measures such as desk spacing and Zoom pods for increased privacy.
