The project aimed to strengthen the rights of LGBTIQ persons in detention.
How can the situation of LGBTIQ persons in detention be improved? This and many other questions were addressed by the EU-funded project ‘LGBTIQ in Detention – Strengthening the Rights of LGBTIQ Detainees in the EU’, which was carried out from April 2024 to September 2025 under the leadership of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Fundamental and Human Rights (LBI-GMR).
After a year and a half of intensive research at national and international level and in exchange with interest groups from various disciplines, the project team is now pleased to present its findings.
To mark this occasion, the LBI-GMR and its partner institutions cordially invite you to the final launch event on 17 September 2025 from 10:00 to 13:00, which will take place online via Zoom. The event will present the key findings from the four partner countries – Austria, Greece, Hungary and Italy – as well as the final report including the project’s final results, conclusions and recommendations.
Registration is mandatory. An agenda and a Zoom link will be disseminated to registered participants in due time. The workshop will be held in English. AI-based captions in different languages will be available.
