SMSC Basel October 2024 "Medtech Evolution - Pioneering the Future of Medicine"

The Swiss Medical Students' Convention (SMSC) is an event organized each semester by the Swiss Medical Students’ Association (swimsa) in collaboration with a group of students from the hosting university. From October 25th-27th, 2024, the SMSC will take place in Basel. This three-day conference will bring together approximately 400 medical students from across Switzerland for an interactive and educational weekend.

Under this year's theme "Medtech Evolution - Pioneering the Future of Medicine," we delve into the fascinating world of medical technology and its impact on the future of healthcare. From telemedicine and artificial intelligence to robotic surgery, SMSC 2024 will showcase and discuss the latest developments and trends in medical technology. Through engaging lectures, interactive workshops, and inspiring discussions, participants will gain valuable insights into how these innovations are shaping the future of medical practice and patient care.
