The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Hematology and Oncology (LBI HO).
With this privacy policy we would like to inform you about the general aspects of data processing in the context of this congress event.
1.1 Data processing
Your personal data, namely
• First and last name
• Academic title
• Country of origin
• Contact information (E-mail address)
• Physician number for DFP points
will be processed for the purpose of administration and execution of the event (e.g. registration, implementation and confirmation of participation). Your physician number will be processed for the purpose of receiving DFB points.
Photos will also be taken as part of the event.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provision (Art 6 para 1 GDPR), namely on the basis of the following legal grounds:
o Consent (lit a) in relation to processing your Physician number
o Performance of a task carried out in the public interest (lit e) in accordance with § 3 University Act in relation to processing your name, acad. title, country of origin and contact information to be able to carry out this academic event.
The provision of your personal data is necessary for the organization and administration of the event. If you do not provide us with this data for administration purposes, we will not be able to fulfill our obligations to you or accept your registration and enable you to participate in the event.
We will retain your physician number for six months after the list is submitted to the Academy of Physicians, for the purpose of recognizing your DFP points. The other data you provide for the processing of the event will be deleted as soon as the administration of the event is completed.
Your data will not be transferred to a third country (EU or EEA countries) or to an international organization.
1.2 Your rights
You are generally entitled to the rights of information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection.
If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data violates the data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Austrian Data Protection Authority, https://www.dsb.gv.at/).
