Industrialized AM Summit Hamburg Program
5 on 5 Presentations In this compact presentation format, selected IAMHH e.V. members and partners will introduce current activities, new developments, and areas of expertise. Each presentation provides a concise insight into practical AM capabilities, technologies, research topics, or collaboration opportunities.
Topic 1: Industry vs. AM Experts The interactive workshop session brings together industrial companies and AM experts to discuss current challenges in the adoption and implementation of additive manufacturing. The focus is on identifying real barriers, practical needs, and possible solution approaches from both the user and expert perspectives.
Topic 2: AM Strategy This workshop, led by IAMHH e.V. member AMPOWER, begins with a short impulse presentation on strategic perspectives in additive manufacturing. The session then continues in two parallel workshop groups, addressing different viewpoints within the AM ecosystem.
One group will focus on strategic questions for established AM players, including market positioning, communication of capabilities, and future development opportunities.
The second group will address companies that are beginning to explore additive manufacturing, with a focus on orientation, potential application areas, and first steps toward integration.
The workshop is designed to support a structured exchange between AM experts and industrial companies and to provide impulses for further strategic development.
Topic 3: AM Certification
Presentation: The certification workshop begins with short impulse presentations from representatives of certification bodies and selected IAMHH members. These presentations will provide an overview of the current status of certification in additive manufacturing, including relevant standards, practical challenges, and selected use cases from different industries.
Panel discussion/ Town Hall: Following the presentations, the workshop continues in a town hall format, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers and discuss current barriers, requirements, and open issues related to certification and qualification in AM.
Workshops: Building on these discussions, participants will then split into smaller topic-focused groups, each addressing a specific area of certification, qualification, validation, or documentation in additive manufacturing. The goal is to deepen the exchange, collect practical input from different perspectives, and identify common challenges, possible approaches, and next steps for making certification processes more transparent and applicable for industrial AM use cases.
