The NanoPrecMed Consortium invites you to join our Open Lab workshop series, designed to bring cutting-edge nanotechnology from academia to industry. Each event offers expert talks, hands-on demonstrations, and networking opportunities, showcasing breakthrough techniques with real-world applications.
Vienna | May 5 | 10:00–16:00 | Focus: Extracellular Vesicles
Venue: Bezirksmuseum Brigittenau, Dresdner Straße 79, 1200 Wien
This first part of the workshop series explores the great potential of extracellular vesicles, tiny biological carriers that hold great promise for diagnostics and targeted therapies. The program includes impulse talks from leading EV researchers, a knowledge café on clinical translation, and a guided tour of the LBI Trauma laboratories at the nearby Lorenz Böhler Trauma Hospital (Donaueschingenstraße 13).
Linz | May 12 | 10:00–17:00 | Focus: Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
Venues: Johannes Kepler University Linz, Gruberstraße 40, 4020 Linz (morning), FH Oberösterreich, Garnisonstraße 21, 4020 Linz (afternoon, within walking distance to the morning session)
The second part of the workshop series offers a deep dive into Atomic Force Microscopy, a method capable of mapping and analyzing surfaces at the molecular level. It features expert talks with ample opportunity for questions and discussion and live demonstrations that show how AFM is applied in both materials science and biotechnology.
Brno | May 26 | 10:00–17:00 | Focus: Biomedical Nanotechnology
Venue: Brno University of Technology, Purkynova 118, Brno, Czech Republic.
The third event brings together several innovative approaches at the interface of nanotechnology and medicine. Topics include nanoparticle-based drug delivery, virus genome analysis, nanobody applications, and preclinical therapeutics and vaccine models. The program includes expert talks, a round table discussion, a guided tour of the microscopy and research facilities, and concludes with a networking and tasting session at the university brewery.
NanoPrecMed is funded by the INTERREG AT-CZ program, project number ATCZ00052.
