IDS CONFERENCE 2026

RESET\design\construction


This year’s IDS Conference, titled RESET\design\construction, explores how intelligent planning, automation, and robotic manufacturing are fundamentally transforming workflows, material systems, and the logic of the applied construction industry. It will take place on November 17 and 18, 2026, as a full-day event conducted in English at the premises of our partner Schüco.

RESET\ is not merely an update to existing practices, but a call to rethink the interface between digital design and physical production and construction. Through our conference, we’re bringing together architects, engineers, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and robotic technologies on applied facade development and construction production.

A strong team

The IDS Conference 2026 is organized by the Institute for Design Strategies at TH OWL in collaboration with the Building Envelope Alliance (BEA) and industry partners Goldbeck GmbH and Schüco International KG. Together, we are creating a platform for exchange between academia, industry, and the professional field, and providing impetus for the transformation of design and construction.

Bei dieser Veranstaltung werden wir für die Öffentlichkeits- und Pressearbeit des IDS Instituts für Designstrategien der TH OWL Fotos- und Videoaufnahmen machen. Diese nutzen wir für die Berichterstattung über die Webseite, die Social Media Kanäle und gegebenenfalls in Pressemeldungen der TH OWL. Wir gehen davon aus, dass Sie durch Ihre Teilnahme bzw. Mitwirkung an dieser Veranstaltung der Veröffentlichung der Bildaufnahmen zustimmen. / During this event, we will take photographs and video recordings for the public relations and press activities of the IDS – Institute for Design Strategies at TH OWL. These materials may be used to report on the event via the TH OWL website, social media channels and, where applicable, in TH OWL press releases. By participating in or contributing to this event, we assume that you consent to the publication of photographic and video recordings in which you appear.

Bei personenzentrierten Aufnahmen haben die beteiligten Personen das Recht und die Möglichkeit, den Fotografen jederzeit mitzuteilen, dass sie keine Aufnahme wünschen. Ist dies nicht möglich oder wird dies nicht eingehalten, so werden wir die Veröffentlichung bei entsprechendem Hinweis unterbinden. / For photographs and video recordings focusing on individual persons, participants have the right and the opportunity to inform the photographer at any time that they do not wish to be recorded. If this is not possible or if this request is not observed, we will refrain from publishing the respective recording upon receiving appropriate notice.
