Notes

Public Transport

By train to Bochum main station, underground /tram line U35 (Campus line) from the main station to the stop "Ruhr-Universität Bochum" (every 5 min., journey time approx. 9 min.). Walk

across the university campus (approx. 12 min.).

By car

Since February 19, 2026, renovation work on the central parking garage has been underway, resulting in the closure of almost all parking levels until spring 2028. Please use the free East (P20) and West (P12/P13) parking garages as alternative parking areas. P20 is the nearest to the lecture Hall HIB.

If you are traveling by car, please allow extra time to find parking. We recommend using public transportation.
