UA Ruhr-Veranstaltung „Insights into Scientific Publishing by IEEE“
Das Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ist nicht nur der größte technische Berufsverband der Welt, sondern auch ein großer ingenieurwissenschaftlicher Publisher. IEEE wird auf einer Roadshow durch Deutschland zum Thema wissenschaftliches Publizieren und Open Access neben München und Hannover in Dortmund Station machen.
IEEE möchte im Dialog mit Autor*innen die globale Entwicklung des wissenschaftlichen Publizierens betrachten: wie entwickelt sich das wissenschaftliche Publizieren global? Welche Rolle spielt Open Access in welchen Kontexten? Welche Rolle spielt KI im Publikationsprozess?
Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is not only the largest technical professional association in the world, but also a major publisher of engineering science. IEEE will be stopping in Dortmund as part of a roadshow through Germany on the topic of scientific publishing and open access, in addition to Munich and Hannover.
IEEE would like to engage in dialogue with authors to examine the global development of scientific publishing: How is scientific publishing developing globally? What role does open access play in which contexts? What role does AI play in the publication process?
The event will be held in English.
