Registration for the Summer School 2026

Our this year's Summer School is a great opportunity to broaden your horizons about different topics in the field of mobility and transport. Together with students from other international colleges and universities we will visit Europe's largest railroad construction site Stuttgart 21, the new Stuttgart Central Station and other transportation infrastructures. The program includes excursions to Stuttgart, the surrounding areas and Lake Constance. International teams of Summer School guests work with students from the Master's program in Transportation Infrastructure Management on small projects that will be presented at the end of the Summer School.


Period: 27.04.-03.05.2026 (excl. arrival and departure)

Duration: 9 days (excl. arrival and departure)


Who can participate: Students in a degree program related to mobility and transportation. Programme language is English.

Program:

  • Sunday, 26 April 2026: Arrival in Stuttgart
  • Monday, 27 April 2026: Welcome at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences and tour of the Stuttgart 21 construction site
  • Tuesday, 28 April 2026: Joint workshop with students from Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences
  • Wednesday, 29 April 2026: Excursion to Rottweil and Constance on Lake Constance
  • Thursday, 30 April 2026: Introduction to traffic simulation, continuation of the workshop with students from HFT Stuttgart
  • Friday, 1 May 2026: Excursion to the television tower and Mercedes-Benz Museum, conclusion at the Stuttgart Spring Festival
  • Saturday, 2 May 2026: Excursion to Munich/social event (optional)
  • Sunday, 3 May 2026: Excursion to Esslingen/social event (optional)
  • Monday, 4 May 2026: Departure

The exact programme may be subject to change depending on the availability of activities. We reserve the right to make changes at short notice.


Costs: You bear the costs for travel, accommodation and meals. Travel and accommodation have to be organized by yourself, but we can help you to find cheap solutions. The cost of the Summer School is 250 euros per participant. A limited number of free places will be made available for partner universities. The cost of travel for the excursions to Munich and Esslingen are not included in the fee for summer school as they are optional events and have to be booked by yourself.
