Bringing AI-based Medical Devices to Market: Challenges and Solutions

This online seminar by the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems (IKS) gives an overview of how AI has positively changed the landscape of medical device technologies. Still, companies aiming to commercialize their AI-based medical software product face a sea of confusion and uncertainties, from business modeling to certification and market adaptation. In this seminar, you will hear from both sides of the spectrum.

As external speaker, we are proud to present Prof. Dr. Christian Johner (Owner and Founder, Johner Institut GmbH). He will provide expert insights into current regulatory challenges of AI-based medical devices.
Dr. Narges Ahmidi (Head of Department Reasoned AI Decisions, Fraunhofer IKS) will then talk about recent advances in AI healthcare, the technology’s remarkable powers as well as its challenging shortcomings.
