Herzlich Willkommen auf der Anmeldeseite des Jungen Umweltforums (JUF) 2025!
Das Junge Umweltforum (JUF) 2025 wird von der Fachgruppe Umweltchemie & Ökotoxikologie der Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) und ihrer Jugendorganisation junge Umweltchemie & Ökotoxikologie (jUCÖT) in Kooperation mit der SETAC GLB ausgerichtet. Es richtet sich speziell an den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs, d.h. an Promovierende, aber auch an Masterabsolvent:innen und Bachelorabsolvent:innen, die erste Erfahrungen mit wissenschaftlichen Tagungen sammeln möchten. Das JUF 2025 bietet jungen Wissenschaftler:innen die Möglichkeit ihre Forschung in Form eines Vortrags oder Poster-Pitch in einem kleinen Kreis von anderen jungen Wissenschaftler:innen zu präsentieren, zu diskutieren und sich auszutauschen sowie erste Netzwerke zu knüpfen!

Die Anmeldung zum JUF 2025 ist unter dem Punkt "Anmeldung" möglich.
Die Anmeldung ist bis zum 15.07.2025, 23:59 Uhr möglich!

Ende der Veranstaltung ist spätestens um 16 Uhr.
Beitragseinreichung
Die Beitragseinreichung für Vorträge und elektron. Poster ist ebenfalls während der Anmeldung möglich.
Vorträge sollten eine Länge von max. 15 min (+ 5 min Diskussionszeit mit den anderen Teilnehmer:innen) haben. Die Vortragsfolien können in allen gängigen Folienformaten als MS PowerPoint oder OpenOffice erstellt werden.
Poster-Pitches sollten eine Länge von max. 5 min (+ 5 min Diskussionszeit mit den anderen Teilnehmer:innen) haben. Die Posterpräsentationen sollen bitte elektronisch als pdf-Datei exportiert werden.
Um einen reibungslosen Ablauf der Veranstaltung zu garantieren, bitten wir um den vorherigen Upload in einer zur Verfügung gestellten Cloud. Die Zugangsdaten werden rechtzeitig vor Veranstaltungsbeginn bereitgestellt.
Abstracts: Zu jedem Beitrag wird vorab während der Anmeldung zur Veranstaltung ein Abstract eingereicht. Die Abstracts für den Abstract-Band des JUF 2025 sollten max. eine Länge von 400 Wörtern haben. Die Angabe von 400 Wörtern bezieht sich dabei nur auf den Text mit Quellenangaben, aber ohne Titel, Autor:innen und Institutionszugehörigkeiten der Autor:innen. Gute Abstracts enthalten eine kurze Einleitung in die Fragestellung/Problematik/Relevanz/Ziele des untersuchten Themas, eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Methodik (Was wurde in der Arbeit gemacht?), eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Ergebnisse sowie ein knappes Fazit der Arbeit (Was kam dabei heraus und was können wir daraus lernen?). Das Abstract soll den Leser:innen die Möglichkeit geben, den Beitrag vorab einordnen zu können und neugierig auf den Vortrag machen. Alle Abstracts werden in einem digitalen Abstractband gesammelt und den Teilnehmenden zur Verfügung gestellt.

Reduzierte Teilnahmegebühr bei Mitgliedschaft
Die reguläre Teilnahme am JUF kostet 40 €. Für Mitglieder der SETAC GLB oder der Fachgruppe Umweltchemie & Ökotoxikologie der Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) reduziert sich der Preis auf 20 €.
GDCh-Mitgliedschaft beantragen: Einfach auf der Homepage registrieren und im erstes Kalenderjahr beitragsfrei (anschließend 30 € Jahresbeitrag) studentisches Mitglied in der Gesellschaft werden. Die Mitgliedschaft in der Fachgruppe ist für Studierende kostenlos und kann direkt bei der Registrierung mitausgewählt werden. Studierende und Jungmitglieder werden zusätzlich automatisch Mitglied der jUCÖT.

Stipendien
Für Doktorand:innen, Masterand:innen und Bachelorand:innen gibt es diverse Möglichkeiten, Reise- und Tagungskosten zu fördern, u. a. durch Tagungsstipendien der GDCh. Voraussetzung für die Förderung ist die aktive Teilnahme (Vortrag, Poster) an der Tagung.

Unterkunft
Ähnlich zur im Anschluss stattfindenden Tagung "Umwelt 2025" (gesonderte Anmeldung notwendig) empfehlen wir auch für das JUF eine Unterkunft in den zahlreichen Hotels und Hostels in Dessau zu buchen.

Welcome to the registration page of the Young Environmental Forum (JUF) 2025!
The JUF 2025 meeting is organized by the Division of Environmental Chemistry & Ecotoxicology of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and their youth organization Young Environmental Chemistry & Ecotoxicology (jUCÖT) in cooperation with the SETAC GLB. It is specifically aimed at young scientists, i.e. PhD students, but also Master's graduates and Bachelor's graduates who would like to gain their first experience with scientific meetings. The JUF 2025 offers young scientists the opportunity to give a presentation on their research to a smaller audience of other young scientists, to discuss and exchange ideas and to establish their first networks!

The registration for the JUF 2025 is possible under "Registration".
The registration is possible until 15th of July, 11:59 p.m.!
Program
Preliminary program of the JUF 2025 on 22nd of September:
From 09:30 a.m.: Registration
10:00 a.m.: Welcome & introduction round
10:30 a.m.: Opening presentation
11:00 a.m.: Presentations of the participants
12:30 p.m.: Common lunch
13:30 a.m.: Presentations of the participants
The event will end at 04:00 p.m. at the latest.
Submission of contributions
Submission of the abstracts is also possible during registration.
Oral presentations should have a maximum length of 15 min (+ 5 min discussion time with the audience). Presentation slides can be created in all common slide formats as MS PowerPoint or OpenOffice.
Poster pitches should have a maximum length of 5 min (+ 5 min discussion time with the audience). Please provide the presentation electronically as a pdf-file.
In order to ensure trouble-free running of the event, we ask for the prior upload in a cloud. The access data will be provided in advance of the event.
Abstracts: An abstract for each presentation will be submitted in advance during registration for the event. Abstracts for the JUF 2025 abstract volume should have a maximum length of 400 words. The 400-word limit refers only to the text with references, but does not include the title, authors, or institutional affiliations of the authors. Good abstracts include a brief introduction to the question/problem/relevance/objectives of the topic studied, a brief summary of the methodology (What was done in the research?), a brief summary of the results, and a concise conclusion of the abstract (What is the message and what can we learn from it?). The abstract should give the reader(s) the possibility to classify the research in advance and make them curious about the presentation. All abstracts will be collected in a digital abstract volume and made available to the participants.

Reduced participation fee with membership
The regular participation in the JUF costs 40 €. For members of SETAC GLB or the Division of Environmental Chemistry & Ecotoxicology of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) the price is reduced to 20 €.
Apply for GDCh membership: Simply register on the homepage and become a student member of the society in the first calendar year free of charge (afterwards 30 € annual fee). Membership in the division group is free of charge for students and can be selected directly during registration. Students and young members automatically become members of the jUCÖT.

Grants
There are various opportunities for doctoral, master's and bachelor's students to support travel and conference costs, including conference grants of the GDCh. For the funding an active participation (presentation) at the conference is required.

Accommodation
As for the conference "Umwelt 2025" (separate registration required), we recommend booking accommodation for the JUF in the numerous hotels and hostels in Dessau.
