H2SHIPS Project Launch Event

The Interreg North-West Europe project H2SHIPS will implement two pilot projects as part of H2SHIPS: A new hydrogen powered port vessel in Amsterdam and a H₂ refuelling system suitable for open sea operation in Belgium. The technical and economic feasibility of hydrogen bunkering and propulsion for shipping will be demonstrated and validated.

The launch event will take place on 27th of August 2019 at Hotel Andromeda in Oostende (Belgium). This is a great opportunity to learn more about the pilot actions and other aspects of the the project. Hydrogen experts will be on site as keynote speakers and representatives of other marine hydrogen projects, setting the scene for hydrogen in shipping. A world-café will get you the opportunity to get in touch with these experts to discuss this highly topical issues. 

The H2SHIPS project started in July 2019 and recieves co-funding from the Interreg North-West Europe Programme (2019-2022). Steinbeis 2i GmbH is partner in the project and organises this  event in collaboration with lead partner EIFER.

The event is held in conjunction with the Hydrogen Days in Oostende, which offer visitor the opportunity to ride on a hydrogen-powered boat (you need to register seperately for this option by following the link above).
