An essential step at the beginning of planning one’s own career is an open analysis of personal competences, values and goals. Being able to correctly assess one’s own potential helps to proceed in a goal-oriented manner, to make coherent decisions and to effectively exploit individual possibilities. An attractive plan B integrated into the career strategy is regarded as helpful on the way to a professorship and allows to manoeuvre if deviations from the plan occur.
The focus of this workshop is on the elaboration and conscious perception of one’s own skills, competences and values. This is offered through close cooperation with the trainer as a coach and the participants "coaching" each other. At the same time, the corresponding change of perspective can lead to a reconsideration of the impact of one´s own personality. This empowerment creates space for further development and growth. Through the various opportunities for exchange and feedback, the participants not only receive an enriching change of perspective (to reduce the blind spots in their own perception), they may also feel encouraged to take concrete next steps.
This workshop is exclusively open to female PhD students within the BayWISS network.
In addition to valuable input and interactive sessions, it offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow researchers, exchange ideas, and expand your network — all in a warm and festive pre-Christmas atmosphere in the heart of Nuremberg.​​​​​​​
The workshop will be held in English and conducted in person in Nuremberg.
