Beats, Bass und Bewusstsein: Was motiviert zum Aktivismus für nachhaltige Clubkultur?
Was bringt uns dazu, uns für mehr Nachhaltigkeit in der Clubkultur einzusetzen - trotz knapper Zeit, vielen To-Dos und scheinbar nur kleinen Erfolgen? Am 25. Juli 2023 um 19 Uhr lädt Clubtopia zur Gesprächsrunde mit Nachhaltigkeitsberaterin Eilidh McLaughlin und Autorin von Clean Scene sowie Lilia van Beukering DJ und vom Mentorinnen-Programm FemmeBassMafia ein. Wir diskutieren, warum sich Akteur*innen der Club-, Festival- und Musikszene im Allgemeinen und unsere Gesprächsparterinnen im Besonderen für Nachhaltigkeit einsetzen, was sie dabei motiviert und ob es noch Hoffnung für eine nachhaltige Zukunft gibt.
Anschließend freuen wir uns auf ein entspanntes Get-Together im Garten des About Blank. Bei Snacks und Getränken gibt es reichlich Zeit für Inspiration, Erfahrungsaustausch und gemeinsame Ideenfindung gibt. Das Gespräch wird auf Englisch stattfinden.

Beats, bass and consciousness: What motivates activists for sustainable club culture?
What keeps us comitted to work on sustainability in club culture - despite limited time, many to-dos and seemingly only small successes? On July 25th, 2023 at 7pm, the initiative Clubtopia invites you to a discussion with sustainability consultant Eilidh McLaughlin and Clean Scene author as well as Lilia van Beukering DJ and from the mentoring programme FemmeBassMafia. We will discuss why players in the club, festival and music scene in general and our panelists in particular are committed to sustainability, what motivates them and if there is still hope for a more sustainable future.
Afterwards, we look forward to a relaxed get-together in the garden of About Blank. With snacks and drinks, there will be plenty of time for exchange, networking and brainstorming for sustainable club ideas. The talk will be held in english.
