PHYSMOD 2026
International Workshop on Physical Modelling of Flow and Dispersion Phenomena
August 25 - 27, Potsdam, Germany
Welcome to PHYSMOD 2026
The International Workshop on Physical Modelling of Flow and Dispersion Phenomena will take place in 2026 at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) in Potsdam, Germany.
PHYSMOD brings together researchers working on physical and numerical modeling of flow and dispersion processes in the lower atmosphere, using wind tunnels, water channels, and CFD models. Since its first edition in 1999, the workshop has grown into an active forum for experts, scientists, and students from around the world.
Participants can expect an open-minded and friendly atmosphere where recent advances, experimental methods, and emerging research areas are discussed. Alongside the classical scientific presentations, PHYSMOD 2026 will offer dedicated spaces for informal exchange, a cultural program highlighting the historic city of Potsdam, a conference dinner, and plenty of time for in-depth technical discussions. Strengthening collaboration and supporting knowledge transfer across laboratories and generations remains a central aim of the workshop, and we particularly welcome contributions from students.
We look forward to welcoming you to ATB Potsdam for PHYSMOD 2026.
