Within the scope of CASCADE 2026, personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
- Online registration and organization of the event
- First name
- Last name
- Address
- Title
- Affiliation
- Food preferences
- Participation in events
- Phone number
- IP address
- Payment processing
- Contract billing and payment data
- Representation or public relations work for the chair
- Photographs
- Legal basis for the processing:
The legal basis for the processing of personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is, on the one hand, your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR. On the other hand, processing is carried out within the scope of the University of Regensburg's tasks in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 2 (2) BayHIG in conjunction with Art. 4 (1) BayDSG or Art. 5 (1) BayDSG.

Service provider:
Your personal data will be passed on to the external company eveeno, which handles online registration. The data protection information for the eveeno website can be accessed via the following link: eveeno data protection.
A corresponding data processing agreement has been negotiated between the University of Regensburg and eveeno.
Payments are processed via ePayServiceBayern (ePayBayern privacy policy | ePayBayern - Central payment page). A data processing agreement also exists in this relationship. This is a payment platform of the Free State of Bavaria, which is used on a permanent basis to standardize the digital administrative infrastructure.

- Transfer to a third country or international organization:
As a general rule, no data is transferred to third countries or international organizations. However, once images are posted on our department website or on the University of Regensburg website, they can be accessed online at any time, including from other EU countries, meaning that the possibility of transfer to third countries cannot be ruled out.
- Duration of processing
After being collected by the University of Regensburg, your data will be stored for as long as is necessary in accordance with the statutory retention periods for the respective tasks performed by the university (public relations). Personal data stored on eveeno's servers will be automatically deleted no later than three years after processing has been completed.
- Your rights:
You are entitled to request from the controller:
- access to (a copy of) and information about the processing of your personal data, according to Art. 15 GDPR,
- rectification of your personal data, according to Art. 16 GDPR,
- erasure of your personal data, according to Art. 17 GDPR,
- restriction of / objection to processing your data, according to Art. 18 & 21 GDPR,
- a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability), according to Art. 20 GDPR.

Note: If the processing falls within the scope of the university's responsibilities, it is not based on consent and cannot be revoked. This applies in particular to the creation of images during the event and their subsequent transmission.

The provision of the data is voluntary. You are not legally obliged to provide the data.
