5G‑MAG is hosting the 5G Broadcast Plugfest, an event designed to bring together implementers, manufacturers and software providers ready to build equipment and applications aligned with ETSI 103 720. This Plugfest creates a uniquely and confidential collaborative environment to test, validate, and foster the implementation of 5G Broadcast equipment.

Rules of Engagement: 5G Broadcast Plugfest
The 5G-MAG Association is pleased to present the 5G Broadcast Plugfest. This event represents a unique opportunity for participating implementers, manufacturers, and software providers to collaborate and test their equipment and applications aligned with ETSI 103 720 and with support of the 5G-MAG Reference Tools in a confidential environment.
To encourage participation and maintain a productive atmosphere, we have created these Rules of Engagement. All Participants must comply with these rules as a requirement for participation. Participation in the Plugfest constitutes full agreement to these Rules of Engagement.
1. Purpose and Scope
The Plugfest is a collaborative interoperability and validation event. The primary objective is testing in a controlled environment, where participants will receive technical feedback and interoperability data regarding their products, fostering the implementation of the 5G Broadcast ecosystem.
2. Confidentiality and Competitive Insights
The Plugfest provides a confidential collaborative environment. However, Participants may naturally gain insights into the performance, features, or technical approaches of other products during the testing sessions.
Note: 5G-MAG will collect all test results and make each individual test result avallable solely to the participant product owner(s). Detailed results will not be shared with other participants, nor will 5G-MAG distribute or publish the testing results of the PlugFest at any other time, except upon specific written approval.
3. Liability and Hosting
The Plugfest is hosted at the Fraunhofer FOKUS premises in Berlin.
4. Summary for Public Disclosure
To ensure the integrity of the results the following protocols apply:
News Item Summary: Following the event, 5G-MAG will publish a news item summary highlighting general findings.
Communication Focus: Communications by 5G-MAG regarding outcomes should focus on promoting the collaboration opportunity to validate product and test the set of 5G Broadcast specifications, 5G-MAG Reference Tools, rather than ranking or singling out specific companies or products.
