Lunch Talk "Science Communication" – Visualisation and Science Communication
The International Summer School “Communicating Science”, organized by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and Wissenschaft im Dialog, was a great opportunity to learn impactful lessons from inspiring experts and meet like-minded people from all over the world. Since then, we have expanded the format and invite you to this series of regular virtual meetings addressing topics of Science Communication. The fourth meeting will be held on Thursday, 16th February 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CET).
The follow-up meetings are aimed at giving deeper insights on Science Communication and additional training for hands-on activities. Further, we want to provide a platform for exchange with experts and other young scientists engaging in Science Communication. The topic of the fourth session will be “Visualisation and Science Communication”. Our guest speaker will be Thomas Susanka, the editor-in-chief of the German Science Notes Magazin, a nation-wide print magazine exploring new ways of science journalism. The event is open to the public, so you are very welcome to forward this invitation to your colleagues and peers.
The International Summer School “Communicating Science” in 2021 was brought to you by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD). For the follow-up meetings, AvH and WiD have teamed up with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Germany’s largest academic exchange organizer.
