Horizon Europe is the European Union’s biggest funding program for research and innovation. For the years 2021 – 2027, approximately 93.5 billion euros are allocated to support research and innovation projects, including those aimed at addressing global challenges and enhancing Europe’s competitiveness.
The next Horizon Europe Cluster Work Programmes, including that for the Cluster Health, are expected to be published in March/ April 2025 with an expected application period from May to September 2025 (subject to change). A current draft of the Cluster Health Work Programme includes inter alia call topics on innovative interventions for mental, behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, generative artificial intelligence models in healthcare or multinational clinical studies of orphan devices and/or highly innovative breakthrough devices. Furthermore, bottom-up calls, such as the European Innovation Council’s Pathfinder Open or Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), could be interesting for a wide-range of scientists who do not find a fitting call in the upcoming Cluster Work Programmes.
The Bavarian Research Alliance[MA1] invites interested researchers from the University of Regensburg and University Hospital to an information webinar on the upcoming funding opportunities in health research and biotechnology in Horizon Europe.
The following funding options are on the agenda:
- Cluster Health Work Programme 2025
- European Innovation Council (EIC)
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)
