With this registration you apply for a grant for travel expenses: 

FUNDING IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS FROM DEVELOPING AND EMERGING COUNTRIES (ACCORDING TO THE DAC-LIST) WHO WERE SPENDING AT LEAST 3 MONTHS IN GERMANY AS PART OF THEIR ACADEMIC TRAINING.

General information on funding conditions:

You can apply for funding to cover your travel expenses, as well as a fixed daily allowance for accommodation and meals. Reimbursement will be processed after the conference.

We are looking forward to meeting alumni from all over the world and welcoming them to Kumasi. To accommodate participants from different regions, we have calculated a range of travel expenses, including both lower and higher costs. However, please note that we need approval from the DAAD if an applicant requests more than €2,000 in funding for travel expenses. As a result, the approval process may take a little longer in such cases.

For the final registration, you will need to transfer a €50 conference fee after your acceptance. This amount will be refunded together with the payment of the approved grant.


Important notice regarding your visit to Ghana: 

Entry to Ghana is permitted only when official proof of yellow fever vaccination is provided. Furthermore, we strongly advise you to ensure you have any necessary malaria treatment medicine with you, or, as a precautionary measure, consider undertaking malaria prophylaxis in advance.
