The H2O conference is an ideal event to engage with Atlantic Canada’s ocean technology industry.


The conference was host to over 550 attendees in 2024 with over 50 exhibiting companies. Historically, we have had international participants from 21 different countries including UK, US, Germany, France, and Japan.

This year, we will have two days of conference programming and exhibitor showcases with the first day being focused on Canadian Innovation and Marine procurement programs, as well as a Seaside Social Dinner. Day two will be industry focused with panel and presentation topics focused on:


  • Offshore Wind Development
  • Vessel decarbonization
  • Increasing industry capacity through skill development
  • Underwater sensors as an enabler
  • Blue Technology ventures
  • Autonomous vessels in complex environments

Halifax hosts the Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE), The PIER, a sector-focused living lab for maritime transportation and logistics, the globally acclaimed Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO) and a short drive away on the Bay of Fundy you will find the Fundy Ocean Research for Energy (FORCE) which is Canada’s leading research Centre for in-stream tidal energy.

The H2O Conference has a strong partnership with COVE (Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship and The PIER (Port Innovation, Engagement, and Research).

There will also be the opportunity to demonstrate your technologies at the “COVE Demo Day”. If this is of interest, please inquire for more information.
