Webinar series on modelling transport related CO₂ emissions

Against the background of discussions on the need to reduce CO₂ emissions, and the fact that the transport sector has not seen the same gradual decrease in emissions as other sectors, the assessment of measures for their CO₂ reduction potential is becoming increasingly important. Many cities are currently developing plans to reduce CO₂ emissions. 

Transport models provide a suitable data basis for estimating transport-related CO₂ emissions. Within the framework of a webinar series, we want to present the theoretical background as well as first experiences in the estimation and modelling of transport-related CO₂ emissions.

In the first webinar, Daniel Krajzewicz (DLR Institute of Transport Research) presented the theoretical background for modelling vehicle emissions, the second webinar will focus on examples for estimating emissions and their changes due to transport measures.
