Workshop information and programme

On 23–24 September 2026, the SafeGameMeat COST Action will organise a hybrid workshop at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (Leibniz-IZW) in Berlin entitled “Acceptance, effectiveness and practical implementation of non-lead ammunition.”

The event will bring together researchers, representatives of the hunting sector and other stakeholders to discuss the transition from lead to non-lead hunting ammunition, with particular attention to hunter acceptance, practical experience and barriers to change.

The workshop will be held in hybrid format, allowing participation both on site in Berlin and online.

To participate in the workshop, please complete the registration form below.

Please indicate whether you intend to participate in person in Berlin or online.

Registration for in-person participation is open until all available places are filled. 

Please note that registration does not automatically entitle participants to reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs. 

If you register for in-person participation but later find that you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to another participant.

Online participation is also subject to registration. Registered online participants will receive the Zoom access details prior to the workshop.

Please provide any dietary requirements or preferences when registering for in-person participation (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, allergies or other dietary restrictions).
