Workshop @Technology Campus Cham

AGMV-Bio focuses on applying cellular structures moulded by nature to cases where traditional design reaches its limits.

This workshop will present the mechanical capabilities of lattice structures applied to industry. Participants will have the opportunity to share their current challenges and rethink what is possible with additive manufacturing.

Workshop structure:

Start 9a.m.

1. Welcome words and introduction to lattice structures

1.1 Presentation: From nature to smart functionally graded materials - Lukáš Zach

  • What is FGM
  • Additive and other advanced technologies
  • Natural materials such as liana and bamboo – FEM analyses
  • Example of use: self-sharpening cutting tool – FEM analyses

1.2 Presentation: Tensile behaviour of various polymeric lattice structures printed with selective laser sintering

Edward Olivera, Ruben Contreras, Mojtaba Lotfi
