SPECTARIS cordially invites you to attend the conference “AI in Photonics – Industry meets Science” on 13–14 October 2026 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT in Aachen. The event is organized with Fraunhofer ILT and the German Association of IT SMEs (BITMi) serving as supporting organizations providing technical and organizational backing, in cooperation with REGINA e.V. and LASER.region.AACHEN e.V..

The conference is aimed at companies and professionals in laser materials processing. It brings together laser manufacturers, system and component suppliers, end users, research organizations, AI software providers, IT service providers, technology-driven start-ups, and other stakeholders from the photonics ecosystem.

The event provides an excellent platform for knowledge exchange between industry and academia, showcasing how Artificial Intelligence is advancing photonics and laser technology—from fundamental concepts and research to industrial applications. Participants will gain valuable insights into the latest technological developments, research findings, innovative AI tools, and practical use cases across the photonics sector.

The first day features an introductory seminar held in German, offering a structured and accessible introduction to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, relevant tools, and practical application examples in laser materials processing.

The second conference day will be held in English and is designed for an international audience. It focuses on cutting-edge research, technological innovations, industrial best practices, and emerging AI and IT solutions, providing in-depth insights into the future of AI-driven photonics.
