From 17 - 19 September 2026, Deggendorf Institute of Technology will host an Alumni Conference on the topic “The Human Factor in the Age of AI.”
The event is being held as part of the “European University Networks (EUN) – National Initiative” programme. This programme is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
The conference brings together 20 alumni from the universities of the HEROES Alliance, who will share their professional expertise with a broad audience.
Across four key themes

2. AI‑Ready IT: Architecting, Securing & Scaling Intelligent Systems
3. Human Intelligence Unlocked: Cognitive & Creative Skills in the AI Age
4. Future Proof Workforce: Skills, Learning & Employability 2030
you can look forward to a total of 20 in-depth presentations on current issues at the intersection of humans and artificial intelligence.

Participation is possible in person (subject to a fee)* or virtually (free). For participation please register below.
At on-site participation you can also look forward to an engaging supporting programme with plenty of opportunities to network with the speaker and other participants.

*Please note that you are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of your accommodation, as well as your travel to and from the venue. In addition to admission to the conference and the accompanying programme, the registration fee covers food & beverage during the conference (including also dinner on 17 September, lunch on 18 September and dinner on 18 September 2026).
