The two‑day ATELIER Final Conference will bring together project partners, cities, and stakeholders to reflect on more than six years of developing and implementing Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) in Amsterdam, Bilbao, and the six Fellow Cities. The programme highlights storytelling sessions from Lighthouse and Fellow Cities, offering insights into their journeys, challenges, and successes in becoming more sustainable, citizen‑centred, and energy‑positive urban areas.
Participants are invited to dive into a series of interactive breakout sessions covering topics like PED fundamentals, the role of energy communities, policy pathways, stakeholder collaboration, and key exploitable results from the project. Special focus will also be given to replication and scaling, including a deep dive into Bilbao’s district heating case.
The event closes with forward‑looking discussions on the drivers and challenges for future PEDs, assessing what worked, what didn’t, and what is needed for cities across Europe to continue the transition toward climate‑neutral, energy‑positive districts.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to join a guided tour of the Guggenheim Museum, followed by a conference dinner in this iconic setting.
