In 2026, the Beyond Safety Forum returns once again, bringing together leading minds, forward-looking perspectives, and innovative approaches.
This year’s theme: Safety in the Era of AI-powered Robotics

The increasing integration of AI-powered robotics is fundamentally transforming industrial applications. Intelligent systems are making autonomous decisions, adapting dynamically to their environment, and collaborating more closely with humans.

This evolution introduces new challenges for safety:

How can we ensure safe human–robot interaction in dynamic environments?
What role do data, algorithms, and transparency play in achieving certifiable safety?
How can we balance innovation with regulatory compliance?

The Beyond Safety Forum 2026 provides the platform to jointly explore these questions and shape future solutions:

From Freiburg Central Station (Breisgau - Hbf) take the S-Bahn to Elzach and get off at the station in Waldkirch-Buchholz. After a 5 min walk you reach the SIA Campus.

Car
Please note: There’s a very limited number of parking lots in the SIA Campus underground garage. Prior reservation is requested.

The fastest way to get to SIA Campus is to follow the A5 from Karlsruhe or Basel. Leave the freeway at the exit 61 Freiburg-Nord, take the B294 in direction Waldkirch until you reach exit Waldkirch-Buchholz. Turn right after the exit in direction Buchholz. Drive along the country road to Buchholz. At the first intersection in Buchholz turn right into Schwarzwaldstraße. You will reach the SIA Campus after about 100m.
