Liebe Kolleg:innen,

Dear colleagues,
The Executive Board of TU Darmstadt cordially invites you to this year’s dies academicus 2026 on 3 November at the Lichtenberghaus.
In the first part, starting at 12.30 pm, we warmly invite all colleagues who were newly appointed within the last year to network with one another and find out about the wide range of opportunities and services offered by TU Darmstadt.
From 3.00 pm, we, the Executive Board, look forward to chatting with all the newly appointed staff over coffee and cake about their first impressions, questions and ideas.
Following, from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm, we would like to engage in a discussion with all professors regarding the future prospects for the development of TU Darmstadt. The focus will be on how artificial intelligence is transforming research, teaching and xchange, as well as the role of the university. Short specialist presentations followed by a fishbowl discussion will provide an opportunity to examine these developments from different perspectives and discuss their significance for TU Darmstadt.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Kind regards (on behalf of the Executive Board)
