Info

Digital Twins are one of the main technologies to successfully implement Industry 4.0 scenarios in companies. However, companies do not exploit the potential yet and miss opportunities to improve production and management. The Interreg project Digital Twin Academy aims to connect people in the Euregio region to form a Digital Twin community and to explore Digital Twin projects. Moreover, different training options are offered throughout the project duration.

Virtual commissioning is one possible application of Digital Twins. By participating, you will

  • Get to know the basic idea of Digital Twins;
  • Understand how Digital Twins can be used to reduce ramp up times via digital commissioning;
  • Understand the basics of modelling for virtual commissioning;
  • Apply your knowledge on  a use case of the Industry 4.0 model factory at FH Aachen.

The online workshop is offered for free in the course of the Interreg Project Digital Twin Academy by the Institute for Applied Automation and Mechatronics (IAAM) at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. During the workshop, theoretical parts alternate with group work on practical tasks. No previous knowledge is required; participants receive a certificate at the end of the workshop.
