Info

The pan-European 112 eCall, in operation since 2018, has recently evolved to the Next Generation (NG) eCall. The EU funded project X_HeERO supported Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across Europe in their transition from legacy circuit-switched 2G/3G networks to modern 4G/5G packet-switched eCall communication. Furthermore, X_HeERO addresses topics as the extension of eCall to vulnerable road users and automated vehicles with special requirements as well as the data integration between PSAPs and Third-party Services. Finally, the collaboration for advancing eCall for future improvement will be elaborated.

Consequently, this years eCall Day powered by X_HeERO will

- pick up the tradition of previous eCall Days,

- present status and experiences of the NG eCall upgrade,

- discuss critical issues and suggested solutions,

- identify specific topics to address in near future,

- and initiate a sustainable collaboration of the eCall community in cooperation with the established instruments of the European Commission.

We invite all responsible parties for PSAP upgrade in European Member States, European Commission, politics and industry, OEMs and suppliers of eCall equipment/services and TPS providers, Mobile Network Operators, interested organisations, and providers for technical support who want to be part of shaping future eCall services and exchanging different perspectives.

Participation is free of charge, but there are limited seats available.
