Info
Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to the Charité's hands-on course "ESD from A to Z" in September 2026! Our goal in designing this event is to cover all the theory of ESD within four days, while simultaneously providing extensive hands-on practice of the most important technical aspects under the guidance of expert tutors. The live demonstrations, video sessions, and group exercises will serve to create a complete picture of the technique and its applications, special features, and answer any questions you may have.
This year we offer an optional additional day of in vivo training on live porcine model for those who want to consolidate their knowledge and train hemostasis techniques in a realistic setting.
What can you expect from the "ESD from A to Z" hands-on course?
- 6 theory sessions on the technical aspects of ESD, including equipment, preparation, materials, settings, procedure, peri-interventional management, and complication management
- 3 organ-specific theory sessions: esophagus, stomach, and colorectum
- 7 hands-on sessions using an ex vivo model with 2:1 tutoring
- 1 hands-on session using an in vivo procine model (optional)
- Live cases from the Central Interdisciplinary Endoscopy Unit at Charité (CVK)
- Video sessions with case discussions in small groups
- Group work on preparing for and performing an ESD
Together with our tutors and the entire endoscopy team of Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, we look forward to welcoming you to Berlin for an exciting and enriching event!
See you in September 2026!
Best regards,
Konstantinos Kouladouros
