Das Event Education Symposium findet am 11. Juni 2026 zum sechsten Mal statt und beginnt um 09:00 Uhr. Einlass ist ab 08:30 Uhr. Der Veranstaltungsort ist das Design Center der Hochschule Hannover (Expo Plaza 2, 30539 Hannover). Das diesjährige Symposium widmet sich dem Thema "Mastering Complexity: Navigating Challenges in Event Education and Practice". Dabei werden fünf thematische Cluster beleuchtet: (1) Klimaschutz und Nachhaltigkeitstransition; (2) Digitale Transformation und Künstliche Intelligenz; (3) Sicherheit, Risiko und Resilienz; (4) Komplexität in Führung, Diversität und Stakeholder-Management sowie (5) Entwicklung der Curricula und Zukunftskompetenzen. Das Symposium wird gefördert durch Mittel aus zukunft.niedersachsen. Unterstützt wird es außerdem vom Ausstellungs- und Messe-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft (AUMA e.V.). Eine Pro-bono-Partnerschaft besteht mit der Association for Events Management Education (AEME).
Freuen Sie sich auf Beiträge von Akademiker:innen und Lehrenden aus den Bereichen Veranstaltungsmanagement und Tourismus sowie verwandten Disziplinen, von Studierenden und von Vertreter:innen aus der Praxis.

The Event Education Symposium will take place on June 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. The venue is Expo Plaza 2. This year’s event is dedicated to the theme “Mastering Complexity: Navigating Challenges in Event Education and Practice.” Five thematic clusters will be explored: (1) Climate Protection and the Sustainability Transition; (2) Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence; (3) Security, Risk, and Resilience; (4) Complexity in Leadership, Diversity, and Stakeholder Management; and (5) Curriculum Development and Future Skills. The symposium is funded by zukunft.niedersachsen. Additionally, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA e.V.) is a supporting partner. A pro bono partnership exists with the Association for Events Management Education (AEME).
The symposium will include contributions from academics and faculty members in event management, tourism and related disciplines, as well as from students and industry professionals.

Das Event Education Symposium findet im Design Center der Hochschule Hannover, Expo Plaza 2, 30539 Hannover, statt.
Die U-Bahn Haltestelle lautet: Hannover Messe/Ost (EXPO-Plaza) und ist über die Linie 6 erreichbar.
Vom Hauptbahnhof Hannover laufen Sie in 5 Minuten zur Haltestelle Kröpcke, von der Sie 25 Minuten mit der Bahn benötigen.
Oder Sie fahren mit den U-Bahn Linien 1, 2 und 8 vom Hauptbahnhof zur Haltestelle Aegidientorplatz, von wo Sie dann ebenfalls in die Linie 6 steigen können.
Die Anreise mit Auto ist ebenso möglich.

The Event Education Symposium will take place at Design Center; Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts; Expo Plaza 2, 30539 Hannover.
The subway stop is: Hannover Messe/Ost (EXPO-Plaza) and can be reached via line 6.
From Hannover Central Station, it is a 5-minute walk to the Kröpcke stop, from where it takes 25 minutes by train.
Alternatively, take subway lines 1, 2, or 8 from the main train station to the Aegidientorplatz stop, where you can also transfer to line 6.
It is also possible to arrive by car.
