Liebe Freund*innen der FUTURE LEAGUE,
liebe Veranstaltende, Sportbegeisterte und Zukunftsinteressierte,
wir freuen uns, euch bei der Anmeldung zur FUTURE LEAGUE Fachkonferenz - Sport(groß)veranstaltungen der Zukunft – Berlin schafft Bewegung zu begrüßen.
Bereits am Vorabend der Konferenz (Dienstag, 1. September 2026 ab 19:00 Uhr ) erwartet euch als Auftakt die Female* Empowerment Night im Fotografiska Berlin mit einem Screening der Dokumentation „The World on Our Shoulders“ sowie einer hochkarätig besetzten Paneldiskussion rund um die Frage „Wem gehört der Sport?“.
Am Mittwoch, den 2. September 2026 möchten wir euch zur ganztägigen Konferenz in den EUREF-Campus in Berlin Schöneberg einladen (Start: 9:30 Uhr): Euch erwarten ein abwechslungsreiches Programm sowie ausreichend Gelegenheiten zum Netzwerken und Austauschen. Ausgehend vom anstehenden Turnier der besten Basketballspielerinnen der Welt, bringt die Konferenz drei zentrale Themen zusammen: Die nachhaltige und zukunftsfähige Ausrichtung von Sportgroßevents, lokale Bewegungsförderung sowie Female* Empowerment im Sport.
Gemeinsam mit Akteur*innen aus Sport, Politik, Verwaltung, Wissenschaft, Zivilgesellschaft und internationalen Sportorganisationen diskutieren wir konkrete Ansätze für eine nachhaltige Sport- und Bewegungsstadt. Im Fokus stehen ökologische und soziale Anforderungen an moderne Sportveranstaltungen, ihre langfristige Wirkung für Stadt und Gesellschaft sowie die Frage, wie große Sportereignisse Impulse für Teilhabe, Gesundheit, Bewegungsräume und Kooperationen zwischen Profi- und Breitensport setzen können.
Die Anmeldung für die beiden Tage sowie eine Auswahl der Break-out Sessions am Konferenz-Tag erfolgt über die Anmeldemaske unten. Eine Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung ist nur nach vorheriger Anmeldung möglich. Bitte meldet euch auch an, wenn ihr euch bereits nach dem Save the Date registriert habt.
Mit der Anmeldung zur Veranstaltung erklärt ihr euch bereit, dass Fotos und / oder Videos mit euch entstehen. Für einen Widerspruch dessen könnt ihr uns unten eine Nachricht hinterlassen.
Die Veranstaltung wird durch zwei Personen in Deutsche Gebärdensprache (DGS) übersetzt.
Eine Deutsch-Englisch Übersetzung für die Programmpunkte auf der Hauptbühne ist sichergestellt.

Major Sporting Events of the Future – Berlin Creates Movement
Dear friends of the FUTURE LEAGUE,
dear event organisers, sports enthusiasts and those interested in the future,
we are delighted to welcome you as you register for the FUTURE LEAGUE Conference - Major Sporting Events of the Future - Berlin Creates Movement.
On the eve of the conference (Tuesday, 1 September 2026 from 19.00), the Female* Empowerment Night at Fotografiska Berlin, featuring a screening of the documentary ‘The World on Our Shoulders’ and a high-profile panel discussion centred on the question ‘Who owns the sport?’.
On Wednesday, 2 September 2026, we would like to invite you to the full-day conference at the EUREF Campus in Berlin Schöneberg (starting at 9.30 am): you can look forward to a varied programme as well as plenty of opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas. Taking the upcoming tournament featuring the world’s best female basketball players as its starting point, the conference brings together three key themes: the sustainable and future-proof organisation of major sporting events, the promotion of physical activity at a local level, and female* empowerment in sport.
Together with stakeholders from sport, politics, public administration, academia, civil society and international sports organisations, we will discuss concrete approaches to creating a sustainable city that promotes sport and physical activity. The focus will be on the environmental and social requirements of modern sporting events, their long-term impact on the city and society, and the question of how major sporting events can provide impetus for participation, health, spaces for physical activity and collaboration between professional and grassroots sport.
Registration for both days, as well as for a selection of the breakout sessions on the conference day, can be completed via the registration form below. Attendance at the event is only possible upon prior registration. Please do register even if you have already signed up via the ‘Save the Date’ notice.
