In the wake of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the energy-intensive fertilizer industry and its supply chains have faced major disruptions. Alongside this, the sector is undergoing profound transformations in response to the increasing calls for decarbonization, particularly concerning nitrogen-based fertilizers. This workshop initially delves into the global trajectories of the industry's decarbonization efforts. Subsequently, we will explore the repercussions for the African continent, emphasizing security, decarbonization, and green industrial development.
