Partnerschaften auf Augenhöhe? /Partnerships on Equal Footing?/ ¿Cooperaciones en igualdad de condiciones?

[German] Globale Zusammenarbeit ist essenziell, um Herausforderungen wie Klimawandel, soziale Ungleichheit und nachhaltige Entwicklung anzugehen. Doch oft sind Partnerschaften zwischen dem Globalen Süden und Norden noch immer von Machtungleichgewichten, historisch gewachsenen Abhängigkeiten und struktureller Ungerechtigkeit geprägt. Wie können wir Partnerschaften schaffen, die wirklich auf Augenhöhe stattfinden und von gegenseitigem Respekt, Gerechtigkeit und Solidarität geprägt sind – anstatt bestehende Hierarchien und Ungleichheiten zu reproduzieren? Auf diese Fragen wollen wir mit gemeinsam mit drei Expert*innen aus Lateinamerika und Deutschland Antworten finden.

[English] Global cooperation is essential to addressing challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and sustainable development. However, partnerships between the Global South and North are often still marked by power imbalances, historically rooted dependencies, and structural injustice.
How can we create partnerships that truly take place on equal terms, shaped by mutual respect, justice, and solidarity, rather than reproducing existing hierarchies and inequalities? These are the questions we aim to explore together with three experts from Latin America and Germany.

Sin embargo, las alianzas entre el Sur y el Norte globales a menudo siguen estando marcadas por desequilibrios de poder, dependencias históricas y justicia estructural.
¿Cómo podemos crear alianzas que realmente se desarrollen en igualdad de condiciones, basadas en el respeto mutuo, la justicia y la solidaridad, en lugar de reproducir jerarquías y desigualdades existentes? Estas son las preguntas que queremos explorar junto a tres expert@s de América Latina y Alemania.
