Thursday 7th November, 11:00-12:45 | Online

In a world where food systems, actors, challenges, and value chains vary dramatically, the influence of citizens and established local initiatives cannot be overstated. In this engaging session of the #6 Hungry for Exchange webinar, we will explore the essential theme of "How Local is Beautiful and Essential: Education as a Catalyst for Change," focusing on the importance of education in promoting healthy habits in production and consumption across all ages and stakeholder groups.

We will be joined by representatives from the FUSILLI cities Marion Villacampa from San Sebastian, Spain, and Mehmet Can Yilmaz from Nilufer, Turkey, who will present successful initiatives developed over the past four years, showcasing experiential knowledge and impactful case studies. Additionally, our external speaker, Aylin Topal a faculty member of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Middle East Technical University, will lead a discussion on cooperative educational programs and the significance of local solutions in creating sustainable food systems.
