The Peatland Science Centre (PSC) invites you to attend the Peatlands and Ecosystem Functions - international Peatland Science Conference (iPSC): The conference will be held from September 18 to 21, 2024 on the Weihenstephan campus of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) in Freising, Germany. The conference will commence with an icebreaker event on the evening of September 18. Over the following two days, the program will feature a series of keynote addresses, thematic sessions, and poster presentations focusing on scientific and practical topics related to peatlands. On September 21, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the diverse peatland ecosystems of Bavaria through a selection of excursions. For those arriving early, there will also be the option to participate in various workshops on September 18. All details regarding the excursions, workshops, and the registration process can be found in the conference registration materials. The conference will be conducted in both German and English, allowing for the participation of an international audience.

Scientific Committee: The Scientific Committee (Sc. C.) for the international Peatland Science Conference (iPSC) comprises a distinguished panel of experts from various institutions. The committee members include: Members from the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT), the host institution for the conference. Representatives from the Bavarian state research institutions for environment, forestry, and agriculture. Renowned peatland researchers from both national and international institutions. Also, the Sc. C. plays a crucial role in assisting the conference organization team with scientific matters. This collaboration ensures the contribution of important expertise and the development of a diverse, high-quality conference program.
