08-12 June 2026

at the Potsdam-Institute for Climate Impact Research

Potsdam, Germany

or via Zoom video conference

Dear ISIMIP and CROSS-CASCADE Community,

We kindly invite you to register for the cross-sectoral ISIMIP and CROSS-CASCADE Workshop from 08 to 12 June 2026. The workshop will serve as the main annual ISIMIP workshop, and will also be the kick-off meeting of the COST Action CROSS-CASCADE that has officially started in October 2025. The event will be held as a physical meeting at PIK in Potsdam with the possibility of remote participation in sessions where technically appropriate.

The core workshop will be scheduled from Tuesday until Thursday noon, while there will be sector-specific events before, and afterwards.

Thematic workshop sessions will be scheduled along the CROSS-CASCADE Working Groups on:

  • ISIMIP input data and protocols,

  • Climate impact transmission chain models,

  • Coherent policies for adaptation,

  • Storylines and Policy Simulations for co-production

Besides presentations of recent ISIMIP3-based research and CROSS-CASCADE contributions, plenary sessions will focus on processes and requirements for starting the ISIMIP Fast Track to support the ongoing IPCC AR7-/GST-cycle. There is also a dedicated 1-day Water Quality/Groundwater/Water Global workshop planned.

There will be slots for presentations, break-out groups, discussion rounds, etc. within the various sessions, and you are welcome to submit contributions to the above topics in the registration form. Moreover, there will be dedicated sectoral meetings, a poster session, and networking activities, as well.

Stay tuned for exciting keynotes including PIK’s director Johan Rockström and please stay updated via the ISIMIP or CROSS-CASCADE websites for a tentative agenda and updates to come.

Please register until 31 January 2026
