Info

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 7th jCS Ruhr on Oktober 13th 2016 at the Technische Universität Dortmund. Since the success of the first symposium in 2010, it is our main purpose to offer you an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences concerning your research. You will have the chance to present your scientific work from all areas of chemistry with oral presentations. No matter whether you are a Bachelor, Master, PhD student or post-doc you will have the possibility to talk about your research in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The four best oral presentations will be honored with generous prizes selected by a committee from academia and industry. Additionally, we will offer different excursions to exciting facilities close to the campus. This new part of the jCS Ruhr should teach participants exciting cutting-edge methods and is meant to extend the scientific network between different institutions.

We are elated to present an outstanding scientist for the plenary lecture, Prof. Dr. Manuel Alcarazo from the Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen. The topic of his talk is “α-Cationic phosphines, arsines and sulfides: Synthesis and applications”. With his outstanding experience and success in organometallic chemistry we are delighted to welcome him here in Dortmund and we look forward to hearing about his own latest research in applications in catalysis of α-cationic ligands.

Below you can find the agenda of the symposium.
Your JCF-Teams Mülheim, Bochum, Essen-Duisburg and Dortmund.

All this would not be possible without the great support by our sponsors from industry and consulting Altana, Evonik Industries, Carl Roth, LANXESS and Siegwerk. We want to express our gratitude to all these companies for their financial support to guarantee the future for the Symposium, and allow us to keep expanding our horizons from year to year.
