Info
The JCFs of the Ruhr area would like to invite you to the 8th JCS Ruhr on 12th October 2017 at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
Since 2010, this event has been giving great opportunities for young scientists (Bachelor, Master, PhD students and Post-Docs) from all fields of chemistry to exchange ideas in a relaxed and informal atmosphere and to present their own scientific work within a presentation or poster. The best contributions will be honored with prizes (four presentation prizes/one poster prize) selected by a committee of both academia and industry. Every presentation block will be rounded off by a talk given by a habilitand who has recently established his/her group at an institution within the Ruhr area.
This year, we are also offering interesting workshops/guided tours for you to learn more about quantum chemistry, crystallography, our sponsors and our facilities. Furthermore, we are delighted to present Prof. Dr. Schubert from the Laboratory of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry of the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena for our plenary lecture. He is one of the most successful and highly-cited scientists in the fields of macromolecular chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, organic synthesis, nanoscience and combinatorial material research. The topic of his talk will be “New Batteries based on Organic and Polymer Materials as Active Compounds”. Final registration deadline: 4th October.
See you in Mülheim!
