Dear LEAD members and guests,

You are warmly invited to our upcoming LEAD Retreat taking place from April 9th-11th, 2025 at the Gästezentrum Schönblick in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Please take a look at the preliminary program and enter your planned attendance for meals and accommodation below.​​​​​​​ Please make your information as reliable as possible in order for us to plan appropriately and to save cancellation costs. Thank you! Of course we will treat all personal data confidentially.


This retreat, for the first time, all documents and updates on the retreat will be communicated through a dedicated LEAD Retreat channel on MS Teams. In order to register your poster title or special interest group you will also need to join the MS Teams Channel. If you have technical problems accessing the channel, please let us know and we will find an alternative.

Child Care

Please indicate here if you need child care options during the retreat and we will try to work out an individual solution with you.

Transportation

Please indicate here if you would like to reserve a seat on the bus. Please note: The bus is the primary mode of transportation. If your office is located in TübingenLEAD will not reimburse travel costs for other transportation (public transport, car, taxi etc.), except in justifiable cases. 


On the way back after the retreat on Friday, one of two busses will make a stop at Stuttgart Airport, from where you can easily reach Stuttgart Central Station.

If you cannot take part for the whole duration of the retreat and are interested in sharing a ride (either as a driver or passenger), please make us of carpooling option and check/enter this list.

Food

During the workshop only vegetarian meals will be served. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹Please list other dietary restrictions (e.g. intolerances, allergies, vegan etc.) below.

Posters (PhD Candidates only)

All PhD candidates will present a poster. There will be no PhD talks this time. Please indicate the (preliminary) title of your presentation in this document on the MS Teams Channel (link below).

Also new PhD candidates on their first retreat will present their PhD project in a dedicated "newcomer poster fair".

Special Interest Groups (SIG)

The so called "Special Interest Groups" give you the opportunity to discuss an individual topic with a smaller group of people to give or receive feedback (e.g. new research projects; new research idea; third party funding or any other proposals). Please indicate the title of your group or the group you would like to participate in this document on the MS Teams channel. If you want a specific person to attend your group, please contact them yourself.

Social Activity (Wednesday 8pm)

Your contribution

If you can imagine offering a social activitiy (e.g. social walk, sports, games...) in the mornings or evenings, please enter your idea(s) into this document. Of course, this is only preliminary and just a help for us to make the planning process easier! We will be in touch with you about your planned activities in due time.
