13th FOKUS Media Web Symposium 2026

The 13th FOKUS Media Web Symposium (MWS) is set to be a must-attend event for industry leaders and media tech enthusiasts in Berlin, Germany, on June 16-17, 2025. Hosted by Fraunhofer FOKUS, this annual international conference continues to be a premier platform for exploring advancements in Internet-based media delivery.

The symposium will once again span two days, with the first day dedicated to insightful tutorials, hands-on workshops, and engaging exhibitions. The second day will shift focus to key trends and business discussions within the media technology landscape. Renowned experts from around the world will present their insights and share experiences on the latest developments and future trends in web and media technologies.

In addition to the Media Web Symposium, there are a number of co-located events, such as the Learning Technology Symposium, the Bitkom Working Group Future of Learning (for Bitkom members only), the dash.js Face-to-Face Meeting and the SVTA – DASH-IF Working Group Face-to-Face Meeting (for SVTA or DVB members only). A separate registration is required for most co-located events; please refer to the information below for further details.

Note: The event has limited capacity. Therefore, the organizers reserve the right to restrict the number of participants from the same organization to ensure fair access in the case of high demand.

Participation at the Media Web Night is free of charge. For reasons of transparency, we are disclosing the value per person: €60.

Guests/Participants from Public Institutions: We assume that those individuals from public institutions who will attend the event have their employer's authorization (Dienstherrengenehmigung).
