Join us for the first session of our two-part NARDIV webinar series, exploring the role of Western cultural institutes in shaping cultural exchange and diplomacy. The discussion brings together experts who have worked closely with, or represent, institutions such as the Institut Français and the Goethe-Institut, reflecting on their cultural, educational, and diplomatic impact over time.


The webinar features Florin Țurcanu, historian and Professor at the University of Bucharest; Irina Matei, Associate Professor of Political Science and author of publications on Romanian-German relations, propaganda, and cultural diplomacy; and Roxana Lăpădat, cultural manager, theatre maker, and NARDIV PhD researcher. The session will be moderated by Dr. Joachim Umlauf, Project Manager at the Goethe-Institut Bucharest for the EU projects NARDIV & TCZ.
