Join us for the second session of our two-part NARDIV webinar series, exploring the role of Western cultural institutes in shaping cultural exchange and diplomacy. This session highlights academic perspectives and concrete case studies on how the Institut Français and the Goethe-Institut have influenced Romania’s cultural landscape through literature, theatre, and artistic research.


The webinar features Cătălina Bălan, writer and NARDIV PhD researcher and Roxana Lăpădat, cultural manager, theatre maker and NARDIV PhD researcher. Bălan will discuss literature and the cultural influence of the Institut Français in Romania, while Lăpădat will focus on theatre and artistic research connected to the Goethe-Institut and cultural diplomacy. The session will be moderated by Dr. Joachim Umlauf, Project Manager at the Goethe-Institut Bucharest for the EU projects NARDIV & TCZ.
