NbS Financing Pitch & Match

Invest4Nature’s webinar matching NbS endeavours with innovative finance

Join us for the first session in our "NbS Financing Pitch & Matchseries, a webinar series by Invest4Nature in unlocking funding for nature-based solutions (NbS). This dynamic webinar series explores practical ideas for implementing nature-based solutions and matches real-world NbS initiatives in need of funding with innovative financing opportunities.

Each session brings together 1 NbS and 1 funder to spotlight different and innovative financing models for promising NbS endeavours — from public incentives to private investment and blended finance. The goal: to bridge the gap between ambitious green initiatives and the financial solutions that can bring them to life.

Whether you're developing an NbS project, seeking funding, or exploring ways to support nature-positive investments, this series offers valuable insights to turn ideas into action.

In this edition

Our first webinar will present the NbS case on the restoration of coastal habitats in Denmark.

Speakers:

NbS case: Mette Holm, Aarhus Municipality

Funding service provider: Andrew Outhwaite, For Blue

This live session will include a short discussion on the presentations. The audience will have the opportunity to ask their questions in the chat. If time allows they will be answered live, otherwise they will be answered in follow up.

Moderator: Wenting Chen, NIVA

This edition we are working together with Task Force 3 in Network Nature+. Task Force 3 focuses on exploring NbS finance, investment mechanisms and business models from the perspective of co-creation and co-finance.

About the webinar series

The NbS Financing Pitch & Match series aims to:

  • Bridge the Gap Between Endeavours and Investors: Facilitate connections between institutions with NbS endeavours (e.g. administrations, SMEs) and seeking funding, and financial institutions interested in NbS projects.
  • Drive Investment and Scale: By connecting stakeholders and providing realworld examples, we aim to increase investment in NbS, supporting the EU Nature Restoration Act and sustainability reporting initiatives.
  • Leveraging cooperation and synergy: By working together with related projects and initiatives, we aims to maximize impact and outreach for NbS cases that are still in need of financing.
