Orientation Days for international degree seeking students and participants of the DSH German course SoSe 2026

A warm welcome to the University of Siegen – we’re excited to have you join our international community! 🌟

Before the start of the lecture period, we – the International Student Affairs (ISA) department of the International Office – offer Orientation Days for you. They are aimed at international degree-seeking students (Bachelor’s or Master’s students, PhD candidates, as well as participants of the DSH German course) who are starting their studies in Siegen in the upcoming summer semester.

We support you with preparing the registration at the local authorities and provide important information about studying, student services, and campus life in Siegen.

We are supported in this by the student organization Erasmus Student Network (ESN), who will prepare a fun evening programme. 🥳

👉 Note: If you arrive in Siegen before the Orientation Days and would already like to meet new people, feel free to join our international regulars’ table (International Stammtisch). We meet every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in one of our favorite bars in Siegen. 🍻
A registration is not needed, simply drop by. You can find more information on our website and on our Instagram channel – and while you’re there, feel free to follow us! 😄

International exchange students will also be participating in the Orientation Days, so you'll have even more opportunities to meet new people! 🤩

Herzlich willkommen an der Universität Siegen – wir freuen uns darauf euch in unsere internationale Community aufzunehmen! 🌟

Vor Beginn der Vorlesungszeit bieten wir, die Abteilung International Student Affairs (ISA) des International Office,  Orientierungstage für Euch an. Diese richten sich an internationale Fachstudierende (Bachelor- oder Masterstudierende, Promovierende sowie Teilnehmende am DSH-Deutschkurs), die im kommenden Sommersemester ein Studium in Siegen beginnen.

Wir unterstützen bei der Anmeldung bei den örtlichen Behörden und geben Euch wichtige Informationen rund um das Studium, Serviceangebote und das Campusleben in Siegen.

Unterstützt werden wir dabei von der studentischen Gruppe Erasmus Student Network (ESN), die ein spannendes Abendprogramm vorbereiten. 🥳

👉 Hinweis: Wenn ihr schon vor Beginn der Orientation Days in Siegen ankommt und Lust habt, erste Kontakte zu knüpfen, schaut gerne bei unserem internationalen Stammtisch vorbei. Wir treffen uns jeden Donnerstag um 19:00 Uhr in einer unserer Lieblingsbars in Siegen. 🍻
Komm einfach vorbei, eine anmeldung ist nicht nötig. Mehr Infos findest du auf unserer Website und auf unserem Instagram-Kanal – und wenn ihr schon dort seid, folgt uns gerne! 😄

An den Orientation Days werden auch die internationalen Austauschstudierenden teilnehmen, und so könnt ihr noch mehr neue Leute treffen! 🤩

Participation in the Orientation Days is voluntary. However, we recommend that you attend all days of the orientation, as we will be sharing important information with you on each day and have prepared games to help you get to know each other better. If you have important appointments that cannot be rescheduled, you are of course excused.

Die Teilnahme an den Orientation Days ist freiwillig. Wir empfehlen jedoch an allen Tagen der Orientation teilzunehmen, da wir an jedem unterschiedliche wichtige Informationen mit euch teilen werden oder Spiele vorbereitet haben, mit Hilfe derer ihr euch untereinander besser kennenlernen könnt. Wenn ihr jedoch wichtige Termine habt, die sich nicht verschieben lassen seid ihr selbstverständlich entschuldigt.
